LEAN, 5s, VSM & TPM Documenation
|
The Penrod Services and Carolina CADWorks teams assist Lean process and management teams within businesses, Lean consultants, Lean service, Lean strategy and implementation teams by creating and or revising CAD documentation, drawings and layouts. This CAD support documentation can usually be created from facility layouts, equipment vendor drawings, continuous and quality improvement data. The Penrod Services team has developed a data insertion methodology within AutoCAD that support Lean, TPM, TPS, 5s, process and quality management, scheduling and many other facets of Lean and Six Sigma. Data needed for reference and where to find data is easily accessible from within the drawing. This same data can even be extracted into a spreadsheet if needed. With Value Stream Mapping, CAD data from facility layouts are extremely valuable and useful. From a facility layout, equipment, structure, process mechanical, electrical, water, air and other types of data are usually already included. This data helps tremendously with new, revising and or relocating processes within a facility. The 5s mapping and processes can also be created and documented from existing facility CAD data. Also, pertinent data needed for reference and file locations can be inserted within the created CAD data. Examples of inserted data are cycle times and takt times. This type of data is and can be used for different aspects and implementation of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Hoshin Kanri and other types of Lean processes.
